Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alisa Ruelas and Kyrie Munoz Lead Sierra Linda to Victory

Sierra Linda proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the North Mustangs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since September 8th.

Sierra Linda took North into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 19-25, 14-25, 15-9.

Sierra Linda was led to victory by Kyrie Munoz and Alisa Ruelas. Munoz had 13 digs and six assists, while Ruelas had 19 digs and six kills. That's the most digs Munoz has posted since back in October of 2024.

Sierra Linda pushed their record up to 7-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Sierra Linda didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Washington on the 22nd. As for North, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Fairfax on the 22nd.
