Basketball Recap: Pace Academy Piles Up the Points Against Forest Park

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pace Academy). They claimed a resounding 69-17 victory over the Forest Park Panthers. With that win, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.

Kate Grice had a dynamite game for Pace Academy, putting up 14 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. Grice has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Britton McGurn, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

The victory (which was Pace Academy's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Forest Park, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Pace Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-10 win against M.L. King on the 6th. As for Forest Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 46-17 loss against Drew on the 6th.
