Baseball Recap: Wiseburn- Da Vinci's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Wiseburn- Da Vinci never let their opponents score on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Environmental Charter White Tigers with a sharp 22-0 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Jered Fan looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Edward Sanchez, who went 4-for-5 with seven RBI, four runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Nathaniel Barba was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI and one run.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

With the win, Wiseburn- Da Vinci broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-10. As for Environmental Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Wiseburn- Da Vinci will take on Shalhevet at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Firehawks have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Environmental Charter, they will challenge Ambassador at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
