Chewelah got themselves on the board against Davenport on Thursday, but Davenport never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Gorillas with a sharp 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Gorillas: they've now won seven in a row.

Luke McGuire was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Devante Angry, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Chewelah's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Davenport, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Chewelah will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gorillas: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
