Softball Recap: Bishop Brossart's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Bishop Brossart came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 17-7 to the Seton Saints. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.

Addison Doughman stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Kayleigh Stadelmann was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop Brossart fell to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Brossart will square off against Bracken County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bracken County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Bishop Brossart's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Seton, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
