Basketball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Burns Hilanders, falling 67-23. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.

Rocio Garay and Justien Tido certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Garay posted eight points, while Tido put up three points. Tido is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Burns, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Riverside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-8 loss against Vale on the 10th. Burns has also already played their next contest (against McLoughlin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
