Football Recap: Wyoming Valley West Comes Up Short

Wyoming Valley West lost against Valley View back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans were dealt a 52-21 defeat at the hands of the Cougars. The Spartans just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Wyoming Valley West's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of John Richards, who picked up 157 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and Damien Eastman, who threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns. Richards showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 64 yards.

Wyoming Valley West's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Valley View, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wyoming Valley West will challenge Crestwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley View, they will square off against Wallenpaupack Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
