Basketball Recap: The City School Comes Up Short

The City School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 56-39 fall against Kohelet Yeshiva. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kohelet Yeshiva apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

It was another big night for Chezky Levitt, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds for Kohelet Yeshiva. That makes it four consecutive games in which Levitt has scored at least a third of Kohelet Yeshiva's points. Another player making a difference was Max Bender, who posted nine points along with five boards and four steals.

The City School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

The City School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-40 victory against Pine Forge Academy on the 14th. Kohelet Yeshiva has also already played their next match (against Girard College), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
