Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Academy's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Victory Christian Academy was the 65-55 winner over Tabernacle Christian when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Victory Christian Academy Patriots fell 69-57 to the Tabernacle Christian Rams on Thursday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coby Glaze and Javan Erwin certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Glaze posted 22 points, while Erwin earned 22 points. Those 22 points gave Glaze a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Wyatt, who put up six points.

Victory Christian Academy's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2. As for Tabernacle Christian, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Victory Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rockwell Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Tabernacle Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Shining Light Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
