Northland Christian was the 3-0 winner over Heritage Christian Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Northland Christian fell just short of Heritage Christian Academy by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Northland Christian's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Northland Christian took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-9.

Hadyn Howie paced Northland Christian's offense, picking up 17 kills. Howie got some help from Kinley Carr and her 32 assists. Carr was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Northland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-3-2. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 11-14.

Coming up, Northland Christian will square off against Appleton City at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they will face off against St. Mary's-Colgan on Saturday.
