Recap: Willis Wildkats vs. Grand Oaks Grizzlies
Even though the Willis Wildkats have not done well against the Grand Oaks Grizzlies recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Willis came out on top against Grand Oaks by a score of 68-61. The win made it back-to-back wins for Willis.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Willis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jermaine Bishop jr, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Bishop jr scored 15 or more points. Bryce Bass was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Willis has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Grand Oaks, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-14.
Willis will take on Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cleveland is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Grand Oaks, they will head out on the road to challenge The Woodlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
