McKenzie waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Union City Golden Tornadoes. For McKenzie, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory Union City walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Joantony Hernandez and Guillermo Hickman scored both of McKenzie's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

McKenzie's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Union City, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKenzie will head out to face off against Peabody at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. McKenzie are facing Peabody at the right time seeing as Peabody are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Union City, they will take on Westview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
