After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marine City, Lamphere was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lake Shore Shorians by a score of 5-1. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Shorians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Cormick Whalen was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Pawlyczyk, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lamphere's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Lake Shore, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Lamphere will challenge Detroit Country Day at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Shore will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' game: after the Rams face off against the Yellowjackets, they'll take on Lake Shore again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
