Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Valley Trojans vs. Heritage Christian Athletics Falcons

The Trinity Valley Trojans will face off against the Heritage Christian Athletics Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Valley is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Trinity Valley is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against St. Mark's on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Trinity Valley took a blow against St. Mark's, falling 79-52. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 813th, while the Lions are ranked 57th).

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian Athletics earned a 53-41 victory over CHSA HomeSchool on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Heritage Christian Athletics has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Trinity Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Everything went Trinity Valley's way against Heritage Christian Athletics in their previous meeting back in November of 2017, as Trinity Valley made off with a 68-44 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Heritage Christian Athletics' Isaiah Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.
