Cherry Hill East is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since May 17, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 23-3 to Eastern.

Thomas Vanella was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Cherokee put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against Shawnee.

Cherry Hill East suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 3-2-2. As for Cherokee, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Cherry Hill East couldn't quite get it done against Cherokee in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
