Soccer Recap: McLean Takes a Loss

McLean lost against James Madison back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Highlanders fell 5-3 to the Warhawks. While losing is never fun, McLean can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 109th, while James Madison are ranked 24th).

This is the second loss in a row for McLean and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for James Madison, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McLean will challenge Fairfax at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for James Madison, they will face off against Alexandria City at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
