St. Thomas More came tearing into Thursday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They greeted the New Year with with a 48-31 victory over the Beau Chene Gators. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.

St. Thomas More got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Katecamille Tatman out in front who posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Tatman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Puhekker, who had 13 points and six steals.

St. Thomas More smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

St. Thomas More's record is now 12-3. As for Beau Chene, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

St. Thomas More will welcome Barbe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Beau Chene, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Eunice at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
