Football Recap: The First Academy Skates Past Treasure Coast with Ease

After losing to Treasure Coast the last time they met, The First Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Royals claimed a resounding 57-7 win over the Titans. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Titans are ranked 135th) , the win on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Landen Holley had an outrageously good game as he threw for 295 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Powell, who rushed for 35 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The First Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Treasure Coast, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

The First Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-8 win against Eau Gallie on the 12th. As for Treasure Coast, they have also already played their next game, a 19-7 defeat against Dunbar on the 12th.
