Basketball Recap: Goshen Eagles vs. Brantley Bulldogs
Goshen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 73-38 loss at the hands of the Brantley Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-25 last Tuesday.
Jayden Parks went supernova for Brantley, going 8 for 12 on his way to 22 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards. The contest was Parks' 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jon Kilcrease, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Brantley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goshen will welcome Highland Home at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brantley, they will host Luverne at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Brantley has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 210 points over their last three matchups.
