Volleyball Recap: North Shore Comes Up Short

North Shore lost against Goose Creek Memorial back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Shore started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-15, 25-17, 25-19.

Zoe Williams paced North Shore's offense, picking up seven kills. Williams got some help from Madison Gray and her 16 assists. Zyriah Hailey controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

North Shore's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Goose Creek Memorial, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North Shore will face off against rival Channelview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Goose Creek Memorial is set to challenge their familiar foe Summer Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
