Football Recap: Randolph County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Randolph County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They had to suffer through a 47-7 loss at the hands of the Bayside Academy Admirals. Having soared to a lofty 51 points in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Rhett Huddleston threw for 90 yards and one touchdown. Maruice Winston was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards.

Leading Bayside Academy to victory were Davis Barnett and Brennen Yamane. Barnett threw for 256 yards and four TDs while completing 72% of his passes, while Yamane rushed for 32 yards and three scores. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Yamane a new career-high.

Randolph County moved to 9-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Bayside Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Randolph County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bayside Academy, they will take on Montgomery Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Admirals 10.7, the Eagles 9.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
