Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Central

The Centennial Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Central Cobras at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Central's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Monday, Centennial didn't have quite enough to beat Jupiter and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, Centennial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Jupiter are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Central was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lincoln Park Academy by a score of 1-0.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Centennial, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Centennial skirted past Central 2-1 when the teams last played back in January. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cobras have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
