Softball Recap: Farmersville Comes Up Short

Farmersville suffered their closest defeat since March 1st on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Caddo Mills Foxes by a score of 4-2. Farmers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Foxes since on Tuesday.

Jacey Wheaton was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Farmersville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14-3 record this season. As for Caddo Mills, they pushed their record up to 11-13-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Farmersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Caddo Mills, they will square off against Ford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
