Recap: M.L. King Lions vs. Redan Raiders
The M.L. King Lions's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took down Redan 56-37. For M.L. King, this counts as revenge for the 54-48 loss Redan walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
M.L. King can attribute much of their success to Quamon Ellison, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 22 rebounds. Shondell Heath was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
M.L. King's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Redan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. M.L. King will take on Collins Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Collins Hill is ranked 160th, while M.L. King is ranked 169th). As for Redan, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
