Basketball Recap: Ty Russ @Just.Ty13's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Legacy over Westwood

If Legacy was feeling good fresh off their 84-43 takedown of Master's Academy two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions came up short against the Westwood Panthers on Tuesday, falling 90-65. The loss put an end to the Lions' undefeated start to the season.

Legacy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ty Russ @Just.Ty13, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Arena @Jacob.Shifts, who had 12 points.

Westwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex 'The Leader' Jean out in front who put up 18 points. That's the most points Jean has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Oscar 'OJ' Joseph, who earned 17 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Legacy fell to 2-1. As for Westwood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Legacy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-54 victory against Port St. Lucie on the 5th. As for Westwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-54 defeat against Martin County on the 3rd.
