Basketball Recap: Banks County Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Banks County won the last time they faced Athens Academy, and Dayden Rogers did his part to make sure it happened again. The Banks County Leopards walked away with a 64-54 victory over the Athens Academy Spartans on Tuesday thanks in part to Rogers, who went 9 for 12 on his way to 28 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Another player making a difference was Luke Dale, who posted nine points along with five assists and five rebounds. Those five assists gave him a new career-high.

Banks County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Athens Academy, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Banks County will challenge Providence Christian Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Banks County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Providence Christian Academy likes a good challenge. Athens Academy has already played their next game (against Rabun County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
