Softball Game Preview: Marshall Redhawks vs. Bath Bees

The Marshall Redhawks will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Bath Bees at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Marshall is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since May 1, 2025 on Thursday. They lost 18-3 to Coldwater.

Brielle Kelly made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Bella Ryan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Bath posted their closest win since April 9, 2025 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Byron 5-3.

Bath's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Marshall, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
