Basketball Recap: Tri-Cities Christian Comes Up Short

Tri-Cities Christian lost against Varsity Opponent last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tri-Cities Christian Eagles came up short against Varsity Opponent, falling 66-45. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Tri-Cities Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emery Haws went 5 for 12 en route to 12 points and three steals. Haws is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Janie Graham was another key player, putting up seven points.

Tri-Cities Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Tri-Cities Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Pineville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pineville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Tri-Cities Christian likes a good challenge. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 47-8 defeat against Medina Christian Academy on the 27th.
