Softball Recap: Foley Comes Up Short

Foley came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Elberta Warriors, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Foley's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Elberta, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions face off against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th. Elberta will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Robertsdale at 7:00 p.m. on March 11th.
