Volleyball Recap: Lovett Starts off Right with Win over East Paulding

Lovett had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the East Paulding Raiders 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since October 1, 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Lovett who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-9, 23-25, 15-10.

East Paulding's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lovett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Sandy Creek on the 9th. As for East Paulding, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Jonesboro on the 9th.
