Football Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Takes a Loss

Tattnall Square Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 30-7 to the George Walton Academy Bulldogs. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

As for George Walton Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.5 points over those games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead George Walton Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zack Wolf, who rushed for 116 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 58 yards and one touchdown. What's more, Wolf posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aj Dillard, who rushed for 68 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tattnall Square Academy will venture away from home to face off against Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for George Walton Academy, they will head out to challenge The King's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
