Softball Recap: Calvary Christian Warriors vs. Countryside Cougars

Calvary Christian stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They never let the Countryside Cougars onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The win was nothing new for Calvary Christian as they're now sitting on eight straight.

The result came thanks to Katie Kapusta's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than seven innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Isabella Stewart was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Julia Tamulski, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Calvary Christian pushed their record up to 17-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Countryside, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
