Baseball Recap: Juarez Comes Up Short

Juarez extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-4 in the process. They came up short against the Bogan Bengals, falling 13-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 on Saturday.

Hector Amador was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Miguel Bastian, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

As for Bogan, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs.

On Bogan's side, Immanuel Patterson was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Patterson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Omaria Braxton, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Juarez didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-2 victory against Dunbar on the 17th. As for Bogan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-4 loss against Agricultural Science on the 19th.
