Volleyball Recap: Vandegrift Comes Up Short

After flying high against McNeil on Tuesday, Vandegrift came back down to earth. The Vipers fell 2-0 to The Woodlands Highlanders on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Vipers in their meetings with the Highlanders: they've now lost four in a row.

Jenna Hehman paced Vandegrift's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hehman got some help from Sadie Jorgensen and her 16 assists.

Vandegrift now has a losing record of 10-11. As for The Woodlands, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

Vandegrift has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Cathedral Catholic on the 28th. As for The Woodlands, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Brandeis on the 28th.
