Harding Academy easily dispatched Wynne two weeks ago, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Wildcats fell just short of Brookland by a score of 37-34 on Friday. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bearcats 21-14 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Farmington came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 49-20 win over the Airedales. Considering the Cardinals have won five games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Harding Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Farmington, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
