Volleyball Recap: Christ Covenant Comes Up Short

Christ Covenant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pillow Academy Mustangs.

While Christ Covenant had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Christ Covenant's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pillow Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Christ Covenant will be playing in front of their home fans against Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Pillow Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Hartfield Academy on the 28th.
