Basketball Game Preview: Portland Adventist Academy Cougars vs. Catlin Gabel Eagles

The Portland Adventist Academy Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Catlin Gabel Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Portland Adventist Academy might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 59-30 to Oregon Episcopal, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Aardvarks are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, Catlin Gabel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Valley Catholic and fell 52-12.

Portland Adventist Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Catlin Gabel, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.

Portland Adventist Academy took their victory against Catlin Gabel in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 40-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for Portland Adventist Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
