Basketball Game Preview: Gateway Christian vs. Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks

Gateway Christian hasn't had much luck against Atlantic Shores Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Gateway Christian will face off against Atlantic Shores Christian at 6:00 p.m. Gateway Christian has given up an average of 59.2 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gateway Christian is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Oaktree Academy on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Gateway Christian had to suffer through a 71-31 loss at the hands of Oaktree Academy. Gateway Christian was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Jaylin Jackson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, Atlantic Shores Christian didn't have too much trouble with Sts. Peter & Paul on Saturday as they won 63-45.

Atlantic Shores Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Gateway Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Gateway Christian was taken down by Atlantic Shores Christian 76-28 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Gateway Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
