Carrick put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They beat the Perry Traditional Academy Commodores by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-0. Carrick's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Malcolm Robinson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Robinson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Carrick got a massive performance out of Ryan Schaffer, who went 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Eli Wittmann, who went 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
Carrick pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Perry Traditional Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
