Seminole entered their tilt with Liberty on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Patriots. Five seems to be a good number for the Indians as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Diego Cortez, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Oscar Grijalva, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Seminole pushed their record up to 22-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty, they moved to 20-9 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Seminole will welcome Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
