Volleyball Recap: Kayla Huynh and Elizabeth Zichil Secure Win for Warde

Warde won the last time they faced Norwich Free Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Warde was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12, 25-14.

Leading Warde to victory were Elizabeth Zichil and Kayla Huynh. Zichil had six digs and three aces, while Huynh had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Zichil has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Warde was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norwich Free Academy didn't served any aces.

Warde's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Norwich Free Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Warde wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Simsbury on the 6th. As for Norwich Free Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Plainfield on the 8th.
