Softball Preview: Old Lyme Wildcats vs. Ledyard Colonels

The Old Lyme Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Ledyard Colonels at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Old Lyme came up short against Stonington and fell 5-2.

Meanwhile, Ledyard played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They walked away with an 11-6 win over East Lyme. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Colonels.

Alexia Lemmon made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three doubles, and three RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
