Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Colleton County

Colleton County put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Woodland Wolverines as the Colleton County Cougars made off with an 8-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bre Gerard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Lanasia Sanders was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Cochran, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Colleton County's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Colleton County Cougars face off against Bluffton Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodland, they will head out to face off against Academic Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
