Basketball Game Preview: Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats vs. Port Aransas Marlins

The Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Port Aransas Marlins at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Skidmore-Tynan has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with ten straight defeats, while Port Aransas will come in with five straight victories.

Skidmore-Tynan is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Kenedy on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Skidmore-Tynan was dealt a 70-42 loss at the hands of Kenedy.

Meanwhile, Port Aransas blew past Refugio, posting a 60-28 win. The Marlins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Port Aransas pushed their record up to 16-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Skidmore-Tynan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
