Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Branford). They blew past St. John Lutheran 16-1 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won four contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Jackson Skinner was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season. Enalee Perry was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Hamilton County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Branford, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hamilton County has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Branford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
