Recap: Cathedral Fighting Irish vs. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamilton Southeastern, the Cathedral Fighting Irish were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They secured a 43-37 W over Indianapolis Bishop Chatard. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cathedral also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

It was another big night for Jaeda Wilson, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Taylor Lewis, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.

Despite the loss, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard still got an impressive performance from Anna Caskey, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 26 rebounds. The matchup was Caskey's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Quinn Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Cathedral is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Cathedral will head out on the road to face off against Assumption at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they will be playing at home against Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Westfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Indianapolis Bishop Chatard in Indiana (Westfield is ranked 25th, while Indianapolis Bishop Chatard is ranked 87th).
