Despite the defeat, Irvington Preparatory Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore John Curry had 20 digs and one assist. Curry is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games he's played.

The timing is sure in the Whirlwinds' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Panthers have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
