Basketball Game Preview: Hebron Hawks vs. DeMotte Christian Knights

The Hebron Hawks will square off against the DeMotte Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Hebron came up short against Heritage Christian and fell 48-39. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Hebron had strong showings from Alicia Clark, who posted 16 points and eight boards, and Megan Balas, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 10 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Clark is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Even though they lost, Hebron was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 5.2.

Meanwhile, DeMotte Christian waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They snuck past the Comets with a 30-25 win.

DeMotte Christian's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points per game. As for Hebron, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.
