Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rock Hill walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Spring Valley Vikings on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won nine in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 19-25, 25-22, 25-16.

Hadley Matthews paced Rock Hill's offense, picking up 11 kills. Matthews were helped by Mattie Kline and Ella Lesslie, who contributed 14 assists each. Gracie Schneider controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Spring Valley had strong showings from Malaya Dewey, who had 19 digs and two assists, and Kennedy Newton, who had ten digs and three aces. Dewey is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Rock Hill's win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Spring Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-21-1.

Rock Hill has already played their next contest (against Dorman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Spring Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
