Soccer Game Preview: Marine Military Academy vs. Hidalgo

The Marine Military Academy Leathernecks will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Hidalgo Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Marine Military Academy can't be to happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home back in December of 2024. They came up short against St. Joseph Academy, falling 6-3. The Leathernecks haven't had much luck with the Bloodhounds recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, Hidalgo had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Hidalgo who was credited with the win. Hidalgo got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Valley View's two.
